Finding the Right Keywords

OK, so yesterday I laid out the gameplan on How to Use Smart Marketing to get more leads and I told you the first step is finding the right keywords.  I told you I was bringing in reinforcements and today I have a special guest post from my friend Chris Smith from Tech Savvy Agent.  (I’m posting that one next.)

I just wanted to get you ready for it by telling you WHY it’s important to think about the words you choose to chase online.

No matter how cool or how smart the web gets, all of our search is still tied to words.  When you choose the right words it’s the key to getting in front of the right audience.  I guess that’s why they call them KEYWORDS.

So here’s the deal, think about who you’re trying to target-

  • Buyers?
  • Sellers?
  • Investors?

Each set of prospects will have different questions and will undoubtedly search for different keyword phrases when using the web.  You have to put yourself in their shoes, think about what their questions would be, then target keyword phrases that will get you in front of them.
